The Story
The Shape of Closeness is part of my new painting series inspired by my move to Tarragona and the softer, more connected life I started to find here.

This painting is about closeness in all its forms, the quiet connection between people, the warmth of another body nearby, the feeling of being seen, held, or simply understood. It carries something intimate, but open. Something soft and human.

The two figures almost become one shared shape, surrounded by warm orange tones. For me, this piece is less about a specific moment and more about a feeling, the way connection can be physical, emotional, playful, calm, or full of desire.

It reminds me of summer by the sea, of bodies relaxing, of openness, and of the beautiful vulnerability that comes with allowing yourself to be close to someone.
